October is traditionally Pink Month. Where everything turns pink to encourage mammography and fund raising for the now dismantled, Komen Foundation.
In contrast to the fundraising efforts to find and treat cancer, we are doing a seminar for you and your friends to help PREVENT cancer.
Please join us at our Don’t Get It seminar, Wednesday October 16th at 6:15PM.
Don’t Get It is a better idea than Early Detection. Cancer rates don’t change because you have better tools for finding cancer. The industry has argued that ‘finding it early is your best chance’. We disagree. Your best chance is not getting it.
We’ve been told that who gets cancer and who doesn’t is simply a matter of being dealt a good or bad hand in the poker game of life. Your genes matter less than 10% in this game though. Which means you are 90% in charge. That’s great news.
The seminar will show you the things you can do to keep you healthy and reduce your risk. One simple nutritional thing alone has been shown to reduce your risk 60%.
The seminar isn’t breast cancer specific. Understand, if you are simply doing things to reduce risk of breast cancer, you are reducing risks of other types of cancers. Just extra credit.
Do you need to come? Well, your risk of being diagnosed in any given year is 1 in 227 people. Your lifetime risk is slightly worse than 1 in 3. I’ve observed that once people are diagnosed, they are put in the position that they don’t have any choices but chemotherapy, radiation or surgery. It seems to me that it would be nicer to control your life from a position of safety and comfort in knowing you are taking care of your health, not crisis management. Once you’re an oncology customer, you don’t have many choices.
We work to provide the lifestyle for you and your family that allows you to grow to a ripe old age doing exactly what you love to do.
Join us. Wednesday October 16.
