Let’s MAHA !! Make America Healthy Again!

RFK Jr. is right on the money when he observed, we as a country have become chronically ill. There’s a number of causes for that. He is working on getting the chemicals out of our food supply as a first line of correction. But, we don’t have to wait for food and big Ag to do that for us. There are more healthy choices than ever at almost every supermarket and even gas stations.

Once you know what to look out for, you can make healthy food choices. It DOES seem like everything is bad for you though when you first start studying the problem. There’s a whole genre on Netflix or Prime, if you put in the search term “health”, you’ll get a pretty good list of documentaries on the dairy, meat, honey, chocolate, fish, oil industries and plenty more. After which, you’ll think you can’t eat anything.

Well, it IS true we can’t avoid all of the poisons and toxins. They are everywhere and in everything from drinking water to poultry to honey to coffee to chocolate. It helps to know where to start. What’s the biggest bang for your eating healthy buck, so to speak. I’d put that in the category of fats and oils. Clean those up first. Rather than bore you with why, I’ll just tell you that the oils that are good for your are those from grass fed and pasture raised animals, extra virgin olive oil, organic coconut oil, avocado oil, ghee and butter (from grass fed cows).

Next up is proteins. And this is next because the fats in bad proteins make your fats bad and are stored as bad fats. So, grass fed, grass finished beef, range chicken/turkey, free range eggs, wild caught fish and pretty much any animal protein that ate what it is naturally intended to graze on.

Then, fruits and vegetables need to be organic to avoid the pesticides and herbicides that act as endocrine disrupters, increasing cancer risk and messing up your testosterone and estrogen.

Lastly, sugar. Now, I know you know this. Everyone knows it. But the supermarkets are still full of sugar, so somebody’s still buying it. And, I don’t mean the 5lb bags of C&H Sugar. I mean the breads, cookies, crackers, chips, snacks, buns, cakes, pies, puddings, fruit on the bottom yogurt, ice cream and if you’re still drinking carbonated artificially flavored, artificially colored sugarized water…. I need to correct myself, start there not fats.

On this note, You may be familiar with the technology called radiolabeled glucose CT scan or PET (Positive Emission Tomography) Scan. This technology is used to “light up” tumors on the CT scans. The glucose is slightly radioactive so it lights up on the scan where it congregates. It congregates in tissue that is using it. And, tumors, most of them anyway, live on sugar, so that's where it congregates. This test takes advantage of that fact. Now, if we all know this, in particular, oncologists, that means you have some control of the care and feeding of tumors and potential tumors. If there’s always a sugar supply, that’s going to make it easier for cancers to grow and continue to grow. If there’s not, that starves them out so to speak. This is not true of all tumors and cancers, but most.

This is just one of many reasons to reduce your exposure to sugar (and things that turn to sugar in your blood stream). Others are less aches and pains, more energy, and you will live longer and look better while you're doing it.

At our workshops we drill down on these topics so you can get a real understanding of how it all works. We do them monthly. We do not charge for these because we believe it is imperative that more and more people start implementing these lifestyle changes that produce health rather than disease. We want to be your resource for a healthy lifestyle. No other doctors are doing this for your family. And we love to work with people who value health like we do. You’re our peeps!

Stay in the loop. Keep reading these emails. Every once in awhile one will strike you as something you’d like to start on. It sounds daunting to make all the changes I suggest, and it kind of is. So, just pick one area and do that for a couple months and then once you have that as part of your lifestyle, start looking at the next one that interests you. I’ll just keep sending you tips until something strikes you.

Also, forward the emails to people who are new to these concepts. Again, nobody else is helping them. They are counting on you. You are the leader.
